It’s been a few months since I was introduced to Prime My Body Hemp Oil. A few of my friends purchased a bottle. Most reported a calming effect and better sleep. Beyond that, no great testimonials. As for myself, I’ve taken it sporadically, when I remembered. Like the others, I could feel the calming effect. Since I have no known health issues or pain problems, I mainly continued consuming based on the research that it supports the vital endocannabinoid system. But, not “feeling” anything, I wondered if I had invested in a lot of snake oil.
Then, something very odd happened. My eyesight began to change. I am near sighted. I’ve been wearing glasses since the seventh grade. I am now 63 years old. I’ve gradually needed stronger lenses through the years. About a month ago, while visiting my daughter, it suddenly seemed as if my glasses were too strong. Strangely, one night my glasses somehow landed in the middle of my dark bathroom floor and I stomped on them. What a bother! Frankly, in my world “accidents” generally have a purpose. Fortunately, I had brought along my much older glasses, probably 20 years old, as my back ups. I dug them out and much to my amazement, they were much more comfortable than my newer glasses.
Signs in the distance that had previously been blurry with them on, were in focus. How bizarre! I found myself puttering around the house without my glasses on at all. Things close up were in better focus without any lenses upon my face.
I could not figure out what was going on, until I had a conversation last week with a friend. In passing he said he knew someone who had been taking CBD oil and had stopped wearing his glasses. Wait, what???
Could it be the CBD hemp oil was behind the change of my eyesight? As I understand it, the CBD wouldn’t be directly responsible for any change, but would aid the body’s own endocannabinoid system to work more efficiently. As we age, the neuroreceptors that bond the natural cannabinoids the body produces decline in number. Taking hemp oil has a two-fold benefit. It lengthens the time our cannabinoids are effective and it encourages regeneration of the neuroreceptors, which in turn encourages more personal cannabinoid production. At least that’s the theory.
At any rate, this subtle regeneration of my eyesight has encouraged me to continue taking the hemp oil. What other benefits may be happening that I’m not “feeling?” We live in a society of instant gratification. But, regeneration and healing takes place over the course of time.
My intuition tells me to stick with it. As more research is done on hemp oil and the endocannabinoid system, the potential for improving people’s health is enormous.
