John Lennon asked us to Imagine. “Imagine all the people, living life in peace….No need for greed or hunger….Nothing to kill or die for….Imagine all the people, sharing all the world.” His anthem continues to stir our hearts because we remain so far from his imaginings of peace on earth.

Sean Ono Lennon, son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, won an Academy Award for helping produce a touching eleven-minute animated film, War is Over. The message is simple, but profound, peace will happen when the humanity comes together as one. While current events may seem that message is an impossible dream, my work with Spiritual Awakenings International gives me hope for the future. Indeed, people from over 100 countries come together monthly to share Spiritually Transformative Experiences and discover our common humanity.

Despite the headlines of cruelty, chaos, and calamity, there is a rising Spirit of Unity supported by compassionate action. I invite you to watch War is Over and be inspired to choose peace. Which reminds me of the song we sing every week at Unity Church of Hawaii:
