House Call: A Story of Hope for the Chronically Ill
My work as a Reiki therapist often involves chronically ill clients who have “tried everything” in their search for wellness. There are certain recurring themes I see in these people. Often I must choose my words carefully in expressing my impressions to them. I know that their world view and my world view are very different.
HOUSE CALL is a parable to teach and reveal certain principles of healing in story form. The tale centers around a young mother, Angela Mattea, who struggles with chronic disease. Her greatest desire is to see her ten-year-old son, David, grow to manhood. Her downward spiral seems inevitable until a day when a very special therapist is sent from “the agency.”
HOUSE CALL: A STORY OF HOPE FOR THE CHRONICALLY ILL is now up at on my YouTube channel. It runs about 45 minutes. I invite you to listen and feel free to share it with someone who may need to hear it.
Bright Blessings,
Dana
Opening Chakras with The Lord’s Prayer
NEW! Experience an OPENING CHAKRAS WITH THE LORD’S PRAYER session with me on YouTube.
What’s the deal with chakras? For some people they are as tangible a part of their body as a hand or foot. For others they are a strange Eastern concept, as fanciful as fairies, vaguely having something to do with yoga. For many years I was in the second category, but along the way, as I came to understand more about energy and health, I set off in search of my chakras.
There are many helpful books on the subjects, but I’ll give you Cliff-notes version here. “Chakra” comes from the Sanskrit meaning “wheel, ” used in yoga to describe energy centers of the human body. Seven main chakras run from the groin to the top of the head. Colors, vibrational frequencies, and organ systems are associated with them in Eastern medicine. Balanced, clean chakras are necessary for optimal health. The chakras also serve as communication paths for connection to the Divine.
Many meditation techniques teach visualization methods for finding the chakras—focus on each center and send a ray of colored light up the body. One sleepless night a couple of decades ago, I didn’t have anything better to do than look for my chakras. I remember lying in bed, focusing on the base of my body (root chakra), picturing red color filling a spinning disc. Darned, if I didn’t actually feel an awareness. So I kept moving up. Here are the basic chakra centers and corresponding colors:
Sensing energy centers is part of my work as a Reiki therapist. One method to open chakras that is more Western-friendly, is using the Lord’s Prayer. Dana Williams’ The Lord’s Prayer, The Seven Chakras, The Twelve Life Paths covers a lot of territory, including astrology. Her segment on The Lord’s Prayer caught my attention. The technique is also mentioned in The Healing Spot by Jan Phillip Holland, Ph.D., M.Ht.
Lately, I’ve been opening my prayer/mediation times in this manner, using the Lord’s Prayer from the top chakra down to get the energy channels moving and connected to Spirit. Sit comfortably, eyes closed. To better feel the energy fields, lift one hand above your head about six inches, point your fingers toward the crown of your head and slowing circle. You may feel a slight light-headedness, perhaps a tingling sensation. Move your hand to the corresponding area of the body as you travel to each chakra center, continuing a gentle circular motion.
Our Father who art in heaven—white light above the head. Imagine a God finger of light entering the crown of your head, beaming a high frequency of healthy energy
Hallowed be thy name—purple light beaming into the forehead. Circle your hand a few inches in front of your forehead. Picture radiant amethyst light entering the forehead, stimulating the pineal gland and warming the brain, eyes, sinuses, and skull. This is where divine connection can enter the mind with heavenly thoughts. Quiet the mind and experience only the present moment.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done—blue light to the throat. Circle your hand before your throat, picturing an exquisite blue shaft of light beaming into the neck and mouth. This chakra represents our power of speech. We call things into being. Claim health and personal empowerment. Imagine the thyroid gland basking in the blue light, absorbing healing energies to regulate all the systems of the body.
On earth as it is in heaven—green light opens the heart. Circle the open palm over the heart, imagine emerald green light sending divine healing and love to the heart chakra. The heart connects with the Creator and loved ones with very real etheric bonds. Emotional wounds can impair the ability to open the heart chakra and lead to a sick physical heart. Imagine a green laser of light opening a healing portal in the chest. See healing light cleansing and strengthening the heart and lungs.
Give us this day our daily bread—yellow light feeds the stomach. Circle the palm in front of the stomach, imagine a sun yellow light sending spiritual nourishment. It’s here we feel hungry for physical food, but we can also feel an emotional ache in the pit of our stomachs. Healing yellow light feeds both the physical and emotional needs of the stomach and digestive organs.
Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.—orange light below the belly button. Circle an orange light, soothing the deepest regions of the gut and bowels. This is the area we store guilt and grievances. Unforgiveness of self and others creates deep-seated life-long illness. Lift old grudges and regrets to the orange light. Let them go. Ask for divine help to forgive and forget. Feel the healing frequency of orange light restore intestines and the vital organs of the digestive system.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil—red light to the sexual centers. Red is a highly stimulating light frequency. The area of sexual energy can generate the highest ecstatic connection for human love or the greatest depths of violence and fear. Use the red light to heal memories of sexual abuse or shame. Ask for a transformation of red light to symbolize love and creativity. It is the place of new birth. Radiate healing red light to regenerate reproductive organs.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever—run the energy into the earth down for grounding. Now imagine all the colored lights and energy swirling around and through the body. See white light entering the crown, down the body, and traveling through the feet into the ground, connecting heaven and earth.
Amen—And so it is. Feel the whole body light and filled with Source energy.

Thinking With Your Heart

by Dana Taylor
I recently was asked to speak at a local educator’s event about the power of the heart. Coming from an energy healer background, I’ve experienced the very real energy field of the heart. Sweeping my hands over the heart chakra of a client on a treatment table, I’ve tapped into emotional information. Deep love and deep sorrow can be discerned, as real as a hug or a punch in the gut. I remember tapping into the love a client felt for her little dog. Not being a great dog lover myself, I’d never really empathized with people devoted to their dogs. In those moments when I stood with my hands above my client’s heart chakra, all the emotions for her dog flooded through me and I finally “got” it. Dog love. It’s real.
Needing material for my talk, I learned the most amazing scientific discoveries about the heart. It is so much more than a pump. Canadian neurologist Dr. Andrew Amour discovered a complex neurological system within the heart and dubbed it the “little brain.” Growing evidence suggests some memories are stored within the heart. Emotions truly do affect the heart electromagnetic field in measurable ways. There are even a growing number of anecdotal stories of heart transplant recipients seemingly taking on traits of their donors–food cravings, favorite hobbies, even personality changes. The heart stores information.
What’s even more astounding is the power of the heart energy field. The HeartMath Institute has been studying the multidimensional aspects of the heart. It is some 5,000 times stronger than the energy field of the brain. Machines have detected a field two feet wide and five feet deep, but that is only as far as their machines can measure. There is no mechanical ability at this time to measure the true distance. One thing is for sure, everyone is projecting an energetic field from their heart all the time.
Not only is it projecting, it is gathering information. HeartMath scientists wired the hearts and brains of test participants and sat them in front of a computer. Every six seconds pictures changed randomly to elicit an emotion. Some pictures were graphically disturbing, others peaceful and harmonious. Heart and brain responses were measured and timed.
The most intriguing finding was the heart began anticipating the pictures’ emotions seconds before they actually projected. The heart intuitively tapped into information BEFORE it was visible to the test participant. The heart appeared to be sending signals to the brain, not the other way around. From there the brain interpreted the information and sent signals to the rest of the body.
In Reiki we are told we can send healing energy in several ways–through the hands, through the mind, through the eyes, and through the heart. Most of us concentrate on the hands, but I’m beginning to see gaining a greater awareness of the energy and intelligence of the heart could greatly enhance healing abilities. It’s definitely an avenue to explore.
More importantly, this information has made me aware that the power of our emotions are always being projected through the heart chakra in a wide arc. What am I projecting? Anxiety? Anger? Fear? What am I stepping into as I pass other people? Their anxiety, anger, or fear? Can I influence my surroundings simply by consciously projecting positive emotion from the heart–love, gratitude, and joy?
Poets and song writers have long written of the power of the heart. Science is beginning to confirm it. Understanding the power of the heart energy field is a major step in taking control of your life. Don’t just use your head…use your heart!

“The Healer” Brings Energy Healing to TV
by Dana Taylor
A client/friend alerted me to a new show on TLC entitled The Healer, starring Australian energy healer, Charlie Goldsmith. While a tropical storm battered my Honolulu apartment windows, through the magic of modern technology, I downloaded episode one to see what this Charlie fellow was all about.
After the first fifteen minutes, I was air pumping, “Yes!” A reality show featuring an energy healer in action will hopefully open more than a few minds. Charlie Goldsmith and his sidekick, Amber, are both easy on the eyes, plus speak with engaging Aussie accents. Yeah, they make good TV.
Episode one begins with a woman named Diamond suffering from a disorder now called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome CRPS (formerly referred to as RSD Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome). I am very familiar with that disease because my Supernal friend, Paula, went through seven years of hell with it until she was healed through Reiki. Her story is covered in both my Supernal Series books.
As is common with CRPS, Diamond’s disorder began with a fall. The body registers extreme pain and simply never stops. Complex Regional Pain sufferers have the worst pain known for a disorder. It is constant. The brain and nervous system seem to get stuck in the highest pain mode and don’t turn off the switch. The condition often affects one side of the body and spreads. Doctors attempt pain control with meds and surgical pain block devices, but patients become debilitated and suffer for years.
When Charlie Goldsmith visits Diamond, she has been suffering for two months. She is in a wheel chair. Her husband has turned into her full time caregiver. Her three children are learning to deal with a disabled mother. This being reality TV, their difficult home life is given considerable air time.
Charlie and Amber arrive to see if Charlie’s gift can give Diamond some relief. Watching Charlie “work” was very interesting to me. He simply asks a few questions about the patient’s problem, then shuts his eyes and gets into his healing mode. Most of the time he sits with his hands cupped forming a small energy ball. His eye lids flutter. He tells Diamond he is looking at her energy body and making adjustments.
This method is very reminiscent of the descriptions of distance energy healing laid out in the book, Dream Healer, the first book published by Dr. Adam McLeod when he was a teenager and used only his first name to maintain some privacy. He describes seeing a holographic image of a person’s energy body and making adjustments in a multidimensional way to promote healing. It appears Charlie Goldsmith has a similar gift.
Goldsmith doesn’t employ the full over body hand waving common in Reiki and other energy healing modalities. Rather, he tunes in and makes his adjustments in a multidimensional fashion. Those of us who do distance healing “get it.” I’m sure it seems incomprehensible to people who live strictly within their five senses.
Diamond responds very well to Charlie’s treatment. Her pain level immediately decreases dramatically and he coaxes her into standing and taking a few steps. It takes courage on her part to lean on the leg that had been a source of excruciating pain just a few minutes before. In lovely reality TV fashion, her family cries and embraces her.
Personally, I totally buy into the Goldsmith effect because I witnessed an identical “miracle” twelve years ago with Paula. Of course, I don’t believe it is a “miracle,” but rather an adjustment in frequency through energy medicine. Not only will healers like Charlie be able to help chronic pain sufferers, but I believe devices (See article on Trinfinity8) will be developed that will make similar adjustments when we finally break away from chemicals for medicine and embrace energy medicine.
Anyway, back to The Healer, episode one continues with Charlie treating a young man with Lyme disease and a home visit with actress Jennifer Grey of Dirty Dancing fame. Grey’s treatment brings in a layer of emotional healing. Grey was in a serious car accident just before Dirty Dancing was released. A mother and daughter in the other car died. Grey endured multiple surgeries on her neck and has suffered chronic pain for decades. When Charlie first begins to work on her, she doesn’t sense any improvement. In fact, she hurts more and seems a bit hostile. He continues the treatment and takes different mental approaches. She has a breakthrough and he confides that he sensed an issue of guilt that needed to be healed. As healers well know, emotions can play a large part in whether a person can get well.
Following up with the patients a couple months later, they are all more mobile and enjoying a better quality of life. Charlie Goldsmith does not claim to be helpful with everyone he sees. He views himself not only as a healer, but as a bridge to conventional medicine. He is doing the show and seeking collaboration with medical doctors to open minds to energy healing. Obviously, for the sake of entertaining television, viewers will probably only see the best-case scenario stories.
In my opinion, we’ll be seeing many people like Charlie Goldsmith and Adam McLeod as the years go by. Moving into the post-Shift era, the new frequencies will bring forth children gifted in ways that seem like the stuff of fantasy and science fiction. It will all be part of the new normal of multidimensional living.
The Healer is produced by the TLC channel. Read more about Charlie Goldsmith at his website CharlieGoldsmith.com.
I can hardly wait to watch episode two.

Confessions of a Medical Intuitive
by Dana Taylor
My first medical intuitive experience was around 1983. Drawn to the subject of healing, I’d joined a church that organized prayer teams for healing services. One evening before a service, my two prayer partners and I met to pray before the service began. As we stood with eyes closed and arms linked, a picture formed in my mind’s eye of three blood-filled, round lumps on someone’s back. I described what I saw, thinking perhaps someone we would be praying for later would have such a condition. My prayer partner, Jeanie, said, “I think that might be me.”
She turned around and allowed me to feel her back. Sure enough, three lumps lay along the spine. Wow, that was surprising. Even more astonishing was they disappeared after my other partner and I laid hands on and prayed over them.
Over the course of the next few years, I received a variety of such mental pictures–bones, veins, tumors, organs, fluids–often in color. In some cases, physical symptoms also mirrored in my body. They generally weren’t pleasant either–chest pains, leg aches, sadness, fear. In the depths of prayer, I often made statements that seemed to come from another source. Later, I barely remembered the messages.
Working in the church setting only took me so far. There weren’t many good explanations of what was going on, except “the power of the Holy Spirit.” I needed more answers than that, which led to metaphysics, Reiki, The Reconnection, Quantum Healing and a myriad of emerging modalities in energy healing.
Of course, the more I learned, the more I realized how little we know. But, I do understand that our existence is far more complicated than the physical eyes can see. Humans and all creatures are energetic beings. Machines can now take pictures of our energy bodies. The most well known device is the MRI machine. MRI is short for “Magnetic Resonance Imaging,” which maps the energy emitted in the human body at the atomic level.
Energy healers become human instruments for sensing and transmitting universal healing energy. Through training and practice, I’ve learned how to open myself to unseen, but very real, frequencies in the auric field and beyond. The top of my head detects a physical opening–like a balloon expanding under my skull. I suspect the pineal gland actually swells.
As my client lies on a massage table, I run my hands a few inches above the body, sensing the energy flow. When I reach a stressed area, I feel a buzzing in the palms of my hands. For example, once a new client came in and I purposely did not ask why she had come. I felt it was a “purer” first session, if I didn’t have preconceived ideas of what might be going on. In her case, my first scan soon focused on the neck and shoulders. They were nearly “screaming” into my hands. As I hovered over the area, a picture formed in my mind’s eye of the crooked alignment of her neck. The shoulder muscles were also pulled and distorted. I then switched gears and flowed healing energy through me and into the region. I later recommended she find a good massage therapist who could physically work the area. She was impressed with the session because her reason for seeing me was the aftermath of a car accident and the residual neck and shoulder pain.
The reason I’m writing this post is not to brag about what a great medical intuitive I am. The truth is I’m not all that great. I’ve now met amazing healers who are far more advanced than I. Rather, I want to encourage others to tap into the information and healing energy that is available to everyone. For millions of years electricity was everywhere, but it’s only been since the turn of the 20th century that Tesla and Edison figured out how to harness it. Now everyone in the civilized world can turn on the lights. Healing energy is basically the same.
As humans explore their multi-dimensional capabilities, they will learn how to tap into the vast resources of information and energy swirling around them every day. Learning ancient traditions like Tai Chi, yoga, and Qi Gong are good ways to discover flowing cosmic energy. In my case, serious study of healing prayer in Christian traditions led the way.
The first step to connecting with the Creative Source is simply the desire to do so. There are many avenues to try. Meditation, prayer, listening to music, communing in nature. Read some books on energy healing. As the saying goes, “Seek and ye shall find. Knock and the door will be opened.”
Then, lay hands on yourself, pets, or family members, seeking help and information and see what happens. Picture healing energy flowing from the cosmos through your head and down your arms. You may discover your medical intuitive gifts. They are a beautiful package waiting to be opened. Untie the bows and give them a try.
Bright blessings ~
