Confessions of a Medical Intuitive

by Dana Taylor

My first medical intuitive experience was around 1983. Drawn to the subject of healing, I’d joined a church that organized prayer teams for healing services. One evening before a service, my two prayer partners and I met to pray before the service began. As we stood with eyes closed and arms linked, a picture formed in my mind’s eye of three blood-filled, round lumps on someone’s back. I described what I saw, thinking perhaps someone we would be praying for later would have such a condition. My prayer partner, Jeanie, said, “I think that might be me.”

She turned around and allowed me to feel her back. Sure enough, three lumps lay along the spine. Wow, that was surprising. Even more astonishing was they disappeared after my other partner and I laid hands on and prayed over them.

energyOver the course of the next few years, I received a variety of such mental pictures–bones, veins, tumors, organs, fluids–often in color. In some cases, physical symptoms also mirrored in my body. They generally weren’t pleasant either–chest pains, leg aches, sadness, fear. In the depths of prayer, I often made statements that seemed to come from another source. Later, I barely remembered the messages.

Working in the church setting only took me so far. There weren’t many good explanations of what was going on, except “the power of the Holy Spirit.” I needed more answers than that, which led to metaphysics, Reiki, The Reconnection, Quantum Healing and a myriad of emerging modalities in energy healing.

Of course, the more I learned, the more I realized how little we know. But, I do understand that our existence is far more complicated than the physical eyes can see. Humans and all creatures are energetic beings. Machines can now take pictures of our energy bodies. The most well known device is the MRI machine. MRI is short for “Magnetic Resonance Imaging,” which maps the energy emitted in the human body at the atomic level.

Energy healers become human instruments for sensing and transmitting universal healing energy. Through trainingĀ  and practice, I’ve learned how to open myself to unseen, but very real, frequencies in the auric field and beyond. The top of my head detects a physical opening–like a balloon expanding under my skull. I suspect the pineal gland actually swells.

Woman at reiki session. As my client lies on a massage table, I run my hands a few inches above the body, sensing the energy flow. When I reach a stressed area, I feel a buzzing in the palms of my hands. For example, once a new client came in and I purposely did not ask why she had come. I felt it was a “purer” first session, if I didn’t have preconceived ideas of what might be going on. In her case, my first scan soon focused on the neck and shoulders. They were nearly “screaming” into my hands. As I hovered over the area, a picture formed in my mind’s eye of the crooked alignment of her neck. The shoulder muscles were also pulled and distorted. I then switched gears and flowed healing energy through me and into the region. I later recommended she find a good massage therapist who could physically work the area. She was impressed with the session because her reason for seeing me was the aftermath of a car accident and the residual neck and shoulder pain.

The reason I’m writing this post is not to brag about what a great medical intuitive I am. The truth is I’m not all that great. I’ve now met amazing healers who are far more advanced than I. Rather, I want to encourage others to tap into the information and healing energy that is available to everyone. For millions of years electricity was everywhere, but it’s only been since the turn of the 20th century that Tesla and Edison figured out how to harness it. Now everyone in the civilized world can turn on the lights. Healing energy is basically the same.

As humans explore their multi-dimensional capabilities, they will learn how to tap into the vast resources of information and energy swirling around them every day. Learning ancient traditions like Tai Chi, yoga, and Qi Gong are good ways to discover flowing cosmic energy. In my case, serious study of healing prayer in Christian traditions led the way.

The first step to connecting with the Creative Source is simply the desire to do so. There are many avenues to try. Meditation, prayer, listening to music, communing in nature. Read some books on energy healing. As the saying goes, “Seek and ye shall find. Knock and the door will be opened.”

Then, lay hands on yourself, pets, or family members, seeking help and information and see what happens. Picture healing energy flowing from the cosmos through your head and down your arms. You may discover your medical intuitive gifts. They are a beautiful package waiting to be opened. Untie the bows and give them a try.

Bright blessings ~
