What A Medium Wants You To Know

I was driving my friend, Helen, around the North Shore of Oahu to see the tropical sights a couple of years ago. As I maneuvered the twisty roads, she casually said, “Oh, your grandfather on your mother’s side just popped in.”

Helen of Ripples of Light

That might sound quite startling, but Helen is an energy healer and a trained medium. Her healing skills have had a profound impact on my life, chronicled in my book, Ever-Flowing Streams: Christ, Reiki, Reincarnation and Me. In a recent Skype call, we primarily discussed her work as a medium and what she would like people to understand about spirit communication. I asked her why she developed her mediumship skills.

She said, “I’ve found it is a way for me to use my gifts to offer people peace. A woman told me, I can get a good night’s sleep. Often people get stuck in their grief, guilt or unforgiveness. A session of spirit communication can offer a release and path to healing.”

Helen has encountered spirits who have passed over in many ways–including, illness, accidents, abortion, and suicide. Departed loved ones often convey similar messages–they are doing well. They’re not holding grudges. Aborted children might present themselves as a young person, usually to say they are fine and still a part of the family. Most abortions are not done lightly. Circumstances can seem impossible to a pregnant woman facing the responsibility of raising a child. Women often carry abortion guilt for the rest of their lives. Communication from that child’s spirit can bring immense healing.

One thing Helen emphasizes on her website, Ripples of Light, is not to give her information about potential spirits who may come through. She likes to have a clean mental slate.

“Clients are very vulnerable and often nervous when they come for a reading. They begin spouting information just as I am tuning into the situation. I always advise, hold on for a few minutes and see what messages come through first!  It is a stronger validation if I can tell them their father died in bed with a heart condition, than if they tell me and I agree!

Spirit communication is not like talking on the phone. It is a language of images, symbols, and impressions. A medium may sense the person in spirit’s feelings, rather than getting a verbal communication. Mediums rely on a variety of senses, and it can vary depending on the medium’s strengths and the person in spirit.  A medium can hear, see, smell/taste, know, or feel the message.  If your Dad wasn’t a chatty soul in life, chances are that he will give his messages through a sense of knowing, or by sending pictures.  I encourage people to be patient in a mediumship session, and let it unfold.

It’s also best not to come with with specific expectations. There’s no guarantee that your grandmother will show up and tell you where she hid the family jewels. Spirit communication, like energy healing, is free flowing and often unexpected. Usually, it is just what the clients need to hear, whether they understand it or not at the time.”

Helen is also an animal communicator, both with the living and the dead. Here is one testimonial from Ripples of Light:

“One of our cats went missing and we were all devastated, we put up posters all over the town and we searched everywhere… But no Mr. Tibs… Helen called me and broke the news that he would not be coming home as he had contacted her spiritually to ask her to tell me he was in cat heaven and was okay.  After lots of tears, I asked Helen where his body was and even though she said that where his body was wasn’t as important as where his soul was, I needed to know, as I needed closure.  Helen described to me where to find him (we live in England!) so off my hubby went and within 10 minutes he called me to say he had found him exactly where Helen has said he was.  We were then able to bring him home and make him a grave.  Helen has an amazing gift.” AT, Lincolnshire, England

To hone her craft, Helen has taken courses from from several of the most renowned spirit communication teachers in the world, including James Van Praagh. She is a Reiki master and offers energy healing through her website, Ripples of Light. Though she was born in Leicester, England, she is an American citizen and has lived in Oklahoma for two decades. Her accent and demeanor still resonate her English roots. Through the years, I’ve come to think of her as my magical Mary Poppins.

On that ride along the North Shore, my grandfather shared information about my mother that was very healing to me. The greatest gift is knowing my family is still with me. I am never alone.

Helen offers in-person sessions in Moore, Oklahoma and is trained in platform mediumship readings for groups. She is reaching beyond the Oklahoma borders through Ripples of Light website. Her healing sessions are available via Zoom, Skype and FaceTime. Treat yourself to a session for healing of the mind, body and spirit. Book your appointment today.

Feeling More Multi-dimensional These Days?

by Dana Taylor
The night is dark, the covers warm. I rouse to consciousness. A wave of energy enters my head, tingles my skull and travels down my body. It swells in a crescendo of electricity, charging my hands and feet. A burst of energy jolts from my solar plexus, like a splash hitting the shore. The power diminishes and pulls back. I lie there and feel the fading ripples. Pleasant. Refreshing. Perplexing. I wonder what that’s about?
In the past year, those “energy blooms,” as I call them, have become part of my new multi-dimensional normal. I suspect I’m not the only sensitive experiencing new energetic phenomena.

A Year of Sudden Change

Like the rest of the planet, COVID-19 upended my world. In March of 2020 I was living in Honolulu, having moved there six years earlier as a new widow. I built a pleasant life. President of a women’s chorus, busy with rehearsals, board meetings and show plans. I’d found a metaphysical spiritual home at Unity Church of Hawaii and participated in a joyful, sometimes hilarious, children’s chapel service every Thursday morning. I met gal pals at restaurants before seeing a show or movie. And, oh yes, I swam in the warm ocean. Suddenly, that life was over. Within the span of two weeks, Hawaii went from having the lowest unemployment rate, to the highest in the nation. Hotels and restaurants shut down. Beaches and streets lay eerily deserted.
I isolated in my apartment, more fortunate than most. My view included the ocean and distant islands. On a clear day, I could see Maui. But, isolation is isolation. Added to that, pandemic stress caused a blow-up with my closest friend, tumbling me into sadness and confusion. Insomnia plunged me into a listless, daily fog. April and May crept along.
Trying to find my footing, I spent a lot of time in meditation. YouTube transmissions by Steve Nobel became a lifeline. (See post Beam Me Up, Steve Nobel). In some quantum physicy way, Steve manages to record energy-infused meditations. He builds an angelic power grid and sends healing frequencies into the ether. Or something like that. Steve’s meditations pack an energetic punch. Additionally, I spent time simply sitting on my couch, eyes closed, spirit open, welcoming Christ consciousness to aid in the healing of the planet through prayer. The days and hours floated away. I gave myself over to a Higher Power and incrementally grew in the process.
I also came together with new prayer partners through Zoom. We hunkered down with our lists of people in need, including a variety of Covid patients from around the world. Aunties, cousins, friends of friends. My mornings included an hour for the prayer list. Covid became a Supernal Adventure in prayer. There appear to be layers of susceptibility with Covid, both physical and emotional. Some patients require weeks of relentless energy treatments. We persevered with people later considered “miracles” of survival. I have some intuitive impressions about the whole handling of this virus, but I’ll keep them to myself for now.
By the end of May, I’d made up with my friend, but it was clear I needed to leave the island where my activities were at a standstill. At least on the mainland in Missouri, I could make myself useful with my older daughter’s family. I spent the summer in the woods, hanging out with my two oldest grand kids, swimming in their pool. Feeding the not-so-feral cats and raccoons. And I continued praying and sending healing energy.

Increased Multi-dimensionality

The expanded focus on prayer, meditation, and healing energy transmission increased my “multi-dimensionality” (new word I made up). I suspect I’m simply one of thousands of Lightworkers operating in “new normals” such as:
Enhanced physical energy sensations such as jolts, heat, tingling and mirrored pain. To illustrate, I picked up “ghost” shoulder pain in a client on my massage table. That guided me in working the area with healing frequencies, along with the mental images of healing the tissues and opening energy blockages. Once the ghost pain cleared, I knew we’d made progress.
Clearer information downloads and impressions regarding emotional connections to illness. For example, a friend asked me to send healing energy to her son, who had been in a serious motor cycle accident. Over the course of several days, the sessions played movies in my mind–the impact of the crash, the cycle crushing his chest, injury to the neck, organ damage. Each day I received different specific things to heal. One day it seemed I was holding his large hands, could almost feel the touch. As it turned out, he underwent a hand surgery that day. I came to “know” his personality and emotions during that period.
Light language manifestation. At one point a new spirit language circled in my mind and then gushed from my throat. I chanted and sang in an unknown tongue, accompanied by energy jolts. I recorded a few sessions and shared them with friends. Interesting and inexplicable.
Animal communication. That has not been a strong gift for me. But recently a friend asked me to send healing energy to her limping pet peacock, Blueberry. I pictured Blueberry and there was a moment when I suddenly connected with him. His haughty personality came through clear and strong. He feels greatly superior to his fowl friends. I saw he picks through his food to find some larger grains that are his favorite. I asked my friend about that. She confirmed she adds sunflower seeds to the regular chicken feed. I also saw some torn tissue in his leg and sent him healing energy. I’m happy to report Blueberry is on the mend.
Manifesting Material Needs. Whatever I need seems to come into my reality fairly quickly and easily. (And I’m not talking about ordering stuff from Amazon, although I’ve certainly mastered that skill.) The most impressive example is my current living situation. By the fall of 2020, circumstances pointed to moving to San Jose to be near my expecting-baby-#4 younger daughter. I felt my best bet was to place a well-written ad in Craig’s List. One Friday morning in October, intuition whispered, Post the ad today. I created a headline naming a certain elementary school, Do You Live Near….? On Saturday morning my now-housemate happened over to Craig’s List looking up the cat adoption postings. As it turned out, she got me instead of a cat. She rarely looks at Craig’s List, but “something” put the notion in her mind. I moved into her lovely hillside home in November overlooking the Silicon Valley. My room is cozy and there’s even a grand piano to play in the living room. Seeing a daily parade of wild turkeys crossing into the meadows is an added bonus. My daughter’s house is a four minute drive away. It’s worked out better than I imagined.

Blessings in Disguise

Though I was gobsmacked by the early days of the pandemic and certainly distressed with many unfolding events, I have to say, personally, I have been exceedingly blessed this year. The friends and family who contracted Covid-19 have recovered. My newest grandson joined his boisterous family with joy and celebration.
Connection to Spirit has strengthened. I’m taking “energy blooms” and enhanced multi-dimensional skills in stride. Social media reveals thousands of other Lightworkers are now on the planet quietly working for the greater good. If you’ve had similar experiences, feel free to share in the comments. What is your “new multi-dimensional normal”?

Send Healing Energy Meditation

by Dana TaylorPart Two in a Series

I’ve been asked how I send distance healing to others. Below is a teaching meditation to help people learn how to tap into the quantum fields and send healing energy. In my experience, it is an act of co-creation with Spirit. Those of us who devote time and energy to distance healing all develop our own ways of connecting and transmitting. Often a healing session will take on a life of its own, sending images, information, and instruction. They can be quite the Supernal Adventure! I hope you find this helpful.

Looking into Past Lives for Present Problems

by Dana Taylor

Listen to this post on YouTube

Lately I’ve been asked to send distant healing to two young men struggling with on-going mysterious medical issues. They live in frequent pain. They struggle to work and raise their families. They visit doctors searching for help, but don’t receive much relief, only vague possibilities of maladies and a rotation of drugs. Neither of them are greatly open to alternative medicine or non-Western thinking.

As I’ve focused on them in meditation, I’ve received impressions of their physical ailments as manifestations of past life connections. Of course, such an idea is outside of their world view. They see this as their only human experience. They don’t see threads of other expressions, other times and experiences. They look only for chemical answers to healing their bodies. It brings to mind the Old Testament Scripture: My people die for lack of knowledge, Hosea 4:6

I wish I had the power to open their understanding of the dynamics of this thing we call Life. I wish they could view the current personality as just one bead on a long energetic string holding other personas. That string might not be a straight thing either. It could be twisted and tangled with beads from vastly different places and time frames. The beads impact and influence each other, all held together by the same buzzing string. How different their world view and sense of personhood would become.

I speak from personal experience. My world view changed after a life-altering visit to a Reiki therapist fifteen years ago. A life-long physical mystery had brought me to her therapy table. Standard medical options had long since been exhausted. Her insights into the last moments of a girl who lived centuries ago resonated with me. I wasn’t that little girl, but her traumatic death and feelings of anger and betrayal rippled into my current life experience. Of course, there’s a word for it: karma. I had unfinished business. Recognizing the root of my ailment was the first step toward true healing. That journey is chronicled in Ever-Flowing Streams: Christ, Reiki, Reincarnation & Me.

PAST LIFE THERAPY

Dr. Brian Weiss

Even though billions of people around the world incorporate the world view of reincarnation, it is still largely denied in Western cultures. Though past life therapy is not new, it’s still on the fringe of society. Ideas take decades, even centuries to shift paradigms. Hypnotherapist Dr. Brian Weiss, a Columbia University and Yale Medical School graduate, published the ground-breaking book Many Lives, Many Masters in 1988. In it he details therapy sessions with the patient who would forever change his life. During hypnosis she spoke of past lives and relationships impacting the quality of her current life. That patient changed the course of Dr. Weiss’ career into studying the consequences of past lives on patients. Similarly, in 1994, Dr. Michael Newton revealed his case studies of past lives and life-between-lives in the classic,  Journal of Souls, followed by Destiny of Souls. Those doctors opened up a whole field of study that is still met with great skepticism.

At the University of Virginia, Dr. Jim Tucker continues the work begun by Dr. Ian Stephenson, who traveled the world investigating children who supposedly remembered past lives. Dr. Tucker has widened the field of study and continues to explore the idea that we are eternal beings. His book, Return to Life, reports on American children with connections to past lives.

Despite the work of highly credentialed academics, speaking of past life influence still sets of an image of an airy, flaky New Age guru, bilking naive followers out of their hard-earned cash. From some quarters it is considered evil and from the depths of hell itself. Fear-based thinking keeps many people in the darkness of their suffering.

SIGNS OF PAST LIFE INFLUENCE

From my perspective, this life is only one chapter of a big book. How could I know what brought me to this point if I don’t consider the earlier chapters? If you read reincarnation books, you’ll see certain patterns. For instance, say a person once died of terrible fall, breaking their back. Chronic back pain may be a problem in this life. Sometimes, simply revealing an event through past life hypnosis can have a healing effect.

Lois Wetzel’s fascinating book, Reincarnation: Past Lives and the Akashic Records,  reveals that often last thoughts can have strong effects. For instance, a drowning victim’s last thoughts might be, I should have stayed away from the water. So, subsequent incarnations come with a fear of water. Finding the source of the fear can be the first step toward healing.

Troubled relationships can have a past life connection. I once meditated about someone who treated me very well, but my feelings toward him were confused for no known reason. In the meditation, I saw us as two teenagers in Eastern Europe running through a forest, trying to escape murderous soldiers. As we ran into a clearing, I was shot in the chest. As I lay dying in his arms, I looked up at his face and blamed him thinking, I should never have trusted you. Watching the scene unfold in my mind completely changed my attitude toward him. The last thoughts of the girl had been immature and unfair. The boy had tried hard to save them.

Sometimes a person develops a mysterious malady that has an age trigger. For instance, one of my clients was perfectly healthy until she was twenty-three years of age. Suddenly, she became allergic to almost every thing she ate. Her skin erupted into cysts and sores. She lost weight. For fifteen years her relationship with food was a painful mystery. She eventually learned to live on rice, tofu, and vegetables. She came to me for Reiki treatment after a car accident. At her second treatment, we had an extraordinary session that included an angel (visible to me) and healing guidance about her stomach and intestines. After that session, she could suddenly eat many more foods. At our next session, we explored a past life connection. I had a vision of a young Asian woman in a terrible, dirty, dank dungeon. Her once-lovely clothes were filthy. She was starving to death. I had the impression that she was royalty and thought she could criticize the government, but had been imprisoned for her revolutionary outbursts. Her ordeal began at age twenty-three.  The client and I had more sessions working through the resentment and anger of that life time, which led to a happier, more productive present life.

SELF-EXPLORATION

We humans are very complicated creatures. Truly, we know so very little about ourselves–why we do the things we do, why we like the things we like and hate the things we hate. We are the sum of countless experiences in many realms and many eras. When a person is chronically ill, looking for answers and direction in multiple avenues should be explored.

I hope the two young men find a path toward healing. Knowledge of their past lives may or may not be helpful. But, what if it is? What if a past life connection is the missing piece of their puzzle? What if they get a clue towards living a healthier, pain-free life? A life to enjoy their children and the days ahead. Isn’t the possibility worth exploring?

People shouldn’t suffer for lack of knowledge.

Bright Blessings,

Transcend Cancer

by Dana Taylor

Cancer. Such a frightening word. It conjures up dreadful images of weakened, ravaged friends and relatives. Bald children from St. Jude’s Children Hospital commercials. People who thought they had it licked, only to discover a lurking inoperable tumor.

After an initial cancer diagnosis, there is talk of “killing it,” “curing it,” “fighting it.” Some people simply give up and yield to it.

As a healer and Reiki practitioner, I’ve been on the front lines with cancer patients. Interestingly, thinking back, most of them are still alive. Cancer was part of their journey. They have dealt with it and moved on. It may return, but, for now, those people are living busy lives.

Lately, I find myself engaged with some new people dealing with cancer. As I’ve been praying and listening for guidance, a recurring Word has come to me ~~ Transcend.

In my world of vibrational and energy healing, illness and disease are mainly about frequencies and energy blockages. Cancer is a frequency zone. Damaged, sick cells reproduce and overtake healthy cells. As a Reiki energy healer, I help people raise their vibration and transcend the cancer zone through Reiki treatments.

I encourage people to become pro-active and holistic in their approach to becoming healthier. Following a medical protocol is only one aspect of sailing out of the doldrums of cancer. If you’re dealing with cancer, here are some ideas to consider as you adjust to your new health status.

Move Out of the Cancer Zone

Fun over Fear ~

The Law of Attraction teaches that whatever we concentrate on increases in our lives. Consequently, the more a person is engulfed by fear of cancer and all its ramifications, the more cancer is encouraged to grow. Frankly, thinking about cancer all the time is boring. It’s a real downer.

Don’t let cancer define you.

It takes mental discipline to distract your mind from a constant drumbeat of cancer, but it can be done. Find ideas and activities that are uplifting and engaging. Affirmations, meditations, good music, good times, whatever raises your mood is part of transcending cancer.

Fabulous Food ~

Food has become source of fear with cancer. Blaming the hot dogs, GMO’s, and chemicals prevalent in our food can make us choke on every bite. Some people become obsessed with eating organic for fear of ingesting carcinogens. While I think diet and polluted water probably is linked to the rise in cancer rates, it isn’t healing to excessively worry about it.

Make good food choices–primarily live, fresh food. Understand food from an energetic standpoint. It isn’t simply calories, it can be an infusion of energy. I’m a big fan of smoothies. By liquefying fresh fruits and vegetables, you are ingesting live enzymes and whole food nutrition. Adding a blessing of grateful intention augments the natural energy of the food. The lessons from Dr. Emoto’s Hidden Messages in Water illustrate how molecules can be transformed by healing intention.

Power up your food and water with healing energy through prayer and also choose from an array of water bottles now available for energizing drinking water.

Forgive and Forget About It

Cancer is often a metaphor for unforgiveness and guilt. Is there something that really “eats you up”? Is there an issue you need to “get off your chest?” Are events in your life “a real pain in the butt?” Life has a way of dishing up betrayal, abuse, neglect, and regret. Simply ignoring or burying negative emotions pulls you down into the Cancer Zone. Living in an unhealthy emotional zone can manifest into sick, unhealthy cells.  Cancer can be sending you a message.

Anita Moorjani’s autobiography, Dying To Be Me, eloquently describes the emotional connections to disease. The cancer journey can be very liberating of old patterns and grudges. Exploring the emotional trail that may have led to illness can actually be part of the Road to Healing.

Vibrational Healing ~

After my mother died from her long cancer experience in 1988, I determined to seek a different path of living. I prayed for guidance. My intuition led me to the blossoming field of alternative medicine. Chinese medicine, Eastern philosophies, homeopathy, flower remedies, essential oils, quantum physics, energy healing–it’s been quite an education. Ultimately, all these things come down to energy. What’s one of the first signs of illness? Fatigue. We sense our energy is being lowered by an invasion or imbalance of some kind.Vibrational healing focuses on raising the vibrational frequency at the cellular level. It can be approached in many ways.

For instance, my enthusiasm for essential oils is primarily derived from the understanding that they are extremely high energetically. Yes, they have components that kill germs, but it’s the infusion of energy from essential oils that is, in my opinion, their greatest healing property. The following chart compares the energetic measurement in various foods to essential oils. Working essentials oils into your daily routine is a fast and easy way to lift your frequency.

I

Processed Foods 0 Hz

I

Fresh Produce up to 15 Hz

I

Dry Herbs 20-22 Hz

I

Fresh herbs 20-27 Hz

V

Essential Oils 52-320 Hz

Eastern cultures have long recognized our energetic source. India calls it Prana. Chinese speak of the Chi. “Reiki” is a Japanese word for God’s Light or God’s Energy. Many healing modalities have an energetic foundation. The best known may be acupuncture which focuses on energetic pathways, called meridians, of the body. Keeping the meridians flowing freely promotes good health.

Modern science is meeting ancient modalities to produce exciting frequency raising machines and products. VibesUp is an intriguing company using the power of crystal earth energy in a wide array of items. Vibrational medicine machines such as Trinfinity8 are utilizing energy frequencies for healing. Truly, it’s the new frontier of medicine. How wonderful it would be to see the end of toxic drugs and radiation for cancer treatment.

At any rate, thinking energetically about wellness is a paradigm shift. Begin noticing if something raises you up, or drags you down.

  • Live food vs. processed food. The life in uncooked food raises your energetic level. Processed food extracts extra energy to digest.
  • Meditation, classical music, and nature walks don’t simply raise your spirits, they raise your frequency.
  • Avoid toxic people, places and things that bring you down. The energy loss has a significant physical impact.

Embrace Living ~

Finally, realize that every day you wake up you are LIVING. Despite a negative diagnosis, as long as you are breathing and getting around town, celebrate Life. There may be a day when you slip into a true “dying” mode and that can be beautiful also. Don’t rush it.

Write up that Bucket List and start checking things off. Set some goals and work towards them. Spend time with people you love and enjoy.

Transcend

I will lift up mine eyes to the hills, from whence my help cometh. Psalm 121 KJV
