Evolution of a Channeler

Thanks to the Internet, I’ve become cyberfriends with spiritually mindful people around the world. Many of them reside in Australia. I’ve had the good fortune to discover healer and channeler, Janice Hunneybell. She has published two books of channeled material from the unlikely source of the American singer, John Denver. Things That I Believe In and All You Need is Love are delightful, filled with inspirational insights written with a strong John Denver voice, especially the first book.

I interviewed Jan via Skype to gain better insight into how her channeling talents evolved. Jan was born in post-World War II England. While she didn’t have the happiest of childhoods, she didn’t have the worst. She married and had children. She was “normal.”

Of course, like many of us, “normal” had its ups and downs. She enjoyed a fair amount of “women’s intuition,” but wouldn’t have put herself in a psychic category. Moving to Australia with her husband and children in 1989 sent her into an emotional tailspin. She missed England and struggled to find her footing in her new home. After wallowing in despair for several months, one day she was thinking about how unhappy she was when she heard a male voice in her mind, asking, Are you going to be miserable for the rest of your life or are you going to do something about it?

This was a new experience but she somehow knew this ‘voice’ cared and was challenging her to think differently, so she made a choice for change. Jan returned to study and later joined groups at a local healing center.

One early morning in 1996 she awoke at 4:30 and heard a voice say, you can heal with these hands. Reiki soon came into her life – she didn’t know what it was, but knew she had to do it. After receiving treatments, she signed up for a Reiki I class and received the level one attunement.

Jan recalled, “During the night after the Reiki I attunement I woke and had the sense of being surrounded by many people, including one bigger, more powerful being. I felt a surge of energy and went back to sleep. When I woke again I wondered what had happened to me and heard the words ‘integration of self.’ A few days later, in meditation, I felt myself growing, a little like Alice in Wonderland. I expanded into the clouds, yet felt the earth was still beneath my feet. I was surrounded by guides and angels. Jesus was there, which surprised me because I wasn’t a follower, although I believed in him. He spoke with me and at the end, two angels, one pink and one blue, stood either side of me. They shrank before my eyes and went into my ears! I heard them say, we are with you always.”

She became clairaudient. Poems poured into her mind. She worked with healing energy, studied healing modalities, attended classes, and followed her Higher Self inner wisdom. By 1997 she felt she needed to open herself to channeling.

She received an energy treatment from her Reiki Master. “I felt like I was going through a birth canal,” she said.

During an afternoon with her spiritual teacher, her first guide, Arthur, came through. He helped her calm the chatter of mind talk to be an effective channel. Arthur exemplified unconditional love. He shared his philosophy and became a treasured teacher. Later, on a trip to England she visited Glastonbury, the ancient home and burial grounds of the fabled King Arthur and Queen Guinevere. Walking the gardens she became overwhelmed with emotion and heard, I am Arthur, son of Uther Pendragon. Was her guide, Arthur, the spirit of the Arthurian legends?

Jan smiles wistfully, “It can’t be proven, but I like to think so.”

At any rate, the door to channeling opened in her mind. She received messages from many nonphysical beings, including some historical figures such as Mother Mary and St. Francis. In September of that year a medium told her to expect an American connection and saw a crashed biplane.

JD Speaks

628x471 On Sunday the 12th of October 1997 John Denver died when his two-seater plane crashed into the ocean off the coast of California. It was Monday the 13th in Australia. Six days later, Jan felt a spike of emotion, a huge smile spread across her face and she heard, good afternoon, it’s lovely to be here. John Denver became a regular visitor, often giving her beautiful lyrics to songs.

By September of 2001, she knew she would be writing a book, but didn’t know what it would be. She had grown in her ability to focus and channel for significant periods of time. She agreed to devote two hours a day to the project. JD began to dictate. The book came through over the course of one month, with very little editing needed. Things That I Believe In communicated the words and wisdom of John Denver, a passionate man who loved music, life, and the planet. Even in the nonphysical state, he still wanted to make a positive impact on the world. The book’s description says:

Through the mediumship of Janice Hunneybell, John, a singer, songwriter and environmentalist, communicates from beyond with the message that human consciousness continues after physical death. He shares his thoughts on life’s deepest questions – what happens when we die and why we are here – and talks about forgiveness, gratitude, fear and many other subjects in an informal but informative way, illustrating his message with personal examples. With the wisdom of hindsight, having looked back on the lessons of his own life and also having learned a great deal since his dramatic exit from the physical world, John gives his opinion on how to make the most of the life we have.

Getting the book from a raw manuscript to publication was a learning journey. Much like A Course In Miracles that began merely being copied on copy machines and passed around, Things That I Believe In was first read by members of the Spiritualist Church in Melbourne in a similar manner. People began encouraging Jan to have it published and available to the mass market. With the rise of digital publishing, both books of JD’s words of wisdom and love are finding a global audience.

All You Need is Love came through later with more pure information and less of the John Denver personality. When asked why much of the information came as voiceless words rather than in John’s voice, Spirit told her it took less energy to transmit the information that way. When she re-read the manuscript, John’s presence and voice was with her once more, adding additional insights as she reviewed what had been written – and reassuring her that these were his words.

Both books offer inspiration and encouragement from beyond the veil for people to make the most of their time on earth.

Jan continues her spiritual journey. JD appears to have moved on, but she has a growing healing and mediumship practice. Visit her Facebook site Janice Hunneybell — Inspired Thoughts to glimpse inside the mind of a gifted medium channel.

A Soul Plan in Dying

Rob Schwartz is the author of the fascinating book YOUR SOUL’S PLAN. He brings an interesting perspective to life and after-life.

yoursoulsplan's avataryoursoulsplan

I’ve been asked about Brittany Maynard and what may have been her pre-birth plan for the end of her life. She availed herself of Oregon’s Death with Dignity Law, and through physician aid in dying, ended her life in November of last year. On the day of her death, she posted on Facebook, “Today is the day I have chosen to pass away with dignity in the face of my terminal illness, this terrible brain cancer that has taken so much from me…but would have taken so much more.” Before she died she created the Brittany Maynard Fund, which works to legalize aid in dying in states where it’s now illegal.

Could Brittany’s end-of-life experience have been part of her life plan? And if so, why would a soul plan such an experience?

It’s important to understand that the soul can incarnate in any time period, location, and set of…

Jesus, My Autobiography: A Review

41fmeRp3SEL._SX346_BO1,204,203,200_-2

Danaheadshotby Dana Taylor

Remember when everyone was wearing WWJD (What Would Jesus Do) bracelets? Now, if you believe in channeling nonphysical beings, you might be able to ask him through Canadian medium Tina Louise Spalding.

I know for many, an autobiography from Jesus is beyond the realm of plausibility. But, for the thousands of students of A Course in Miracles, the idea that JC may have picked a new person to communicate through may not seem that far fetched.

Ms. Spalding began channeling Jesus in 2014, at least that’s the claim. She has been channeling a soul group called Ananda since 2012. She has quietly published Jesus, My Autobiography, which I recently read. Am I convinced it’s the real deal? Well, Jesus has not personally contacted me to verify his authorship. However, I found the material very intriguing. In an earlier era Ms. Spalding would have certainly been killed for blasphemy, heresy, or sorcery. I would have likewise met some hateful, grisly demise for simply reading the book. Fortunately, we live in more free-thinking times.

From the Preface: I talk about the truth of my birth and the truth of my life. I cover some stories that are recounted in the Bible and tell you the true story of those events. I describe my personal traits, my human traits, and I define what I am, who I am, and why these things happened. You will be able to understand the truth, and you will begin this reconditioning, this retooling of your mind — of your thoughts and beliefs — on this subject of my life, my meaning, and my purpose, for it is a long process. The time is ripe. The need for a spiritual revolution is here. — Jesus

Written in the first person, Jesus covers his childhood and his travels during ages fourteen to thirty-three not mentioned in the Bible. Whether “true” or not, Jesus comes across as a very human person: a curious boy, a dissatisfied youth, a seeker of adventure and spiritual enlightenment. He reveals his great love and subsequent marriage to Mary Magdelene. A very spiritually evolved man, his message of Love didn’t change the world nearly as much as he’d hoped it would. He challenges the established church and states much of the Bible was twisted to promote a political agenda. (He’s not the first to make that claim.)

Mainstream Christian believers will be utterly uncomfortable with this Jesus, who denies his unique Divinity as the only Son of God. However, millennia of worshipers has had its effect:

Chapter Fifteen excerpt: There are many people who have offered up their lives as sacrifices to me, and what I say is this: The focus of human consciousness on one being shifts that being’s consciousness. Because I have had such adoration and love from so many — the prayers and focused consciousness of so many millions of people over such a long time have indeed shifted my consciousness far beyond that which I could have done by myself. So you can see that the inadvertent belief in my divinity has caused that very thing to arise in some ways.

I have become so enlivened by these wonderful prayers. I have become so connected to so many humans through their willingness to speak to me. I have been given a lot of responsibility in the nonphysical to offer truth out to beings who speak to me, commune with me on a consciousness level, and try to meld with me in prayer.

The details of his earthly existence over two thousand years ago are not the main meat of the manuscript. The most inspirational parts speak to modern spiritual seekers. He covers many subjects including:

  • The Spiritual Mind vs the Ego Mind
  • Manifesting Health
  • Change Your Mind to Transform the World
  • Forgiving Yourself
  • Sexual Energy
  • A New Paradigm
  • Passion and Purpose

Jesus, My Autobiography feels very much like a companion piece to A Course in Miracles. He claims authorship of ACIM and recommends people read it. The message of forgiveness, love, and compassion is the same.

Whether the book is authentic or fictionalized, it presents a wise, spiritually advanced Jesus who is far more appealing than the judgmental Jesus often portrayed in religious groups. It’s certainly a fresh look at Jesus, the man, and is chocked full of wise advice for modern times.

Ancient Chinese Wisdom for Modern Health

by Dana Taylor
th-5People sometimes ask me how I stay so “young,” what is my “secret?” Of course, that’s a loaded question with a complicated answer, but one key element of enjoying good health heading into my sixth decade is simple: Sunrider Chinese Herbs.

After I watched my mother and grandmother be whittled away by cancer and the Western medicine treatments of chemo and radiation, I knew I had to do something differently or I would surely follow their path. Sunrider‘s whole food supplements of Quinary capsules, Calli Tea, and NuPlus shakes, have been the foundation of my nutrition since 1990. I am living proof of the Sunrider difference.

Here is an excerpt from my book introducing the philosophy that makes Sunrider different from most supplements:

Chapter 3

Alternative Medicine

Excerpt:

Regeneration vs. Substitution

When the student is ready, the teacher will appear—so goes the ancient Buddhist proverb.  In my case, my teachers appeared via a multi-level marketing company selling Chinese herbs. While I never made a heap of money, I did make some great friends and associates.

A Chinese chemist and an entrepreneurial American formed a partnership to bring Eastern concepts about nutrition to the United States. They developed a line of herbal products and started teaching Americans what they called the Philosophy of Regeneration.  They identified the West as a society living by the Philosophy of Substitution.

Regeneration vs. Substitution is really East versus West in health ideology. Regeneration is a belief that the human body has healing powers that simply need to be nurtured. The heart of the word is “gene”–the genetic capability to heal.

Substitution represents the Western idea of having drugs doing the job of the body—i.e. relying on antibiotics instead of natural antibodies. Certainly, “miracle” drugs have saved thousands of lives. But, the pendulum has perhaps swung too far in favor of powerful drugs that override the body’s innate healing abilities.

I’ll refrain from launching into a tirade against the profit-driven evils of the drug industry, except to say that ideally drugs should be used sparingly and only for short periods of time. Every prescription drug has negative side effects that make the body weak and out of balance. That’s one reason they are controlled substances—they are dangerous. They substitute a chemical function the body should be doing for itself.

The human body is a marvelous creation that will move toward wellness given the proper balance of nutrients, clean water, sunshine and positive emotion. The Creator embedded the directions for excellent health in the DNA of every cell of our beings. We simply need to nurture those cells.

Regeneration represents the idea of balance and nurture through the second leg of the philosophy—Whole Food Nutrition.

Whole Food Nutrition vs. Isolate Supplements

In the mid-twentieth century, Nobel Prize winning scientist Linus Pauling started an isolate bandwagon rolling when he claimed miraculous benefits of vitamin C. Molecular biologists and chemists jumped on board, providing pills loaded with vitamin and mineral isolates. Soon thousands of American children chewed their yummy Flintstones vitamins; adults dutifully swallowed their trusty One-A-Day’s.

Despite the fact that many of Pauling’s initial assertions were largely disputed in clinical trials, vitamin megadosing became a popular trend for health-seeking Westerners.

The problem is much of these isolated nutrients are literally flushed down the toilet.  Have you ever noticed how bright yellow your urine is about an hour after you take a vitamin supplement?  That’s the dissolved pill leaving your body unabsorbed.  The reason?  Your body did not recognize or utilize the nutrients.

Why? They were not delivered in the form of food.

Let’s go back to some ancient wisdom: the human body was made by God; God made plants and seeds for human consumption. It says so right off the bat in the Bible:

God created man in his own image…male and female he created them…And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.” Genesis 1:27-30

The Creator produced food of uniquely bonded nutrients.  That same Creator designed our bodies to recognize and utilize food in form he made it. (end of excerpt)

Kryon Goes to Israel

“Greetings, dear ones, I am Kryon of Magnetic Service.”

Who is Kryon?

“Kryon of Magnetic Service” is a non-physical entity/teacher who has been speaking through Lee Carroll, of Southern California, for over twenty-five years. What began as a small group of living room sessions has grown into a unique globe-trotting entourage.  At this point, Kryon and Carroll are a “meld,” meaning they share a combined consciousness at all times. During lectures, Carroll has learned to “step aside” and allow Kryon to utilize his mind, body, and communication skills. The process is called “channeling.”

Lee Carroll

Lee Carroll

I will blog in greater detail about the opening of consciousness to spiritual information called  “channeling” soon. Listening to channeled material requires discernment. Not every spiritual source is of higher wisdom or positive intent. In Christian circles, the accepted term is “getting a Word.” Frankly, even those “getting a Word” should be questioned as to the source.

In the case of Kryon, Lee Carroll has invested over two decades of his life in being Kryon’s “partner.” Kryon is a teacher, not a guru. He isn’t founding a new religion (surely we have enough of those).

Why is Kryon teaching now?

The good news, Kryon is teaching because we “passed the marker” when we might have obliterated our civilization through nuclear holocaust. The collapse of the Soviet Union and end of the Cold War marked the dawning of a New Age. (Yes, that’s gotten to be a tired term, but it’s still cause for celebration.) Kryon began speaking through Carroll in the 1990’s and has covered a variety of esoteric subjects– The Shift, The New Normal, The Indigo Children, The New Humans and many more. Kryon is here to help us transition and make sense out of chaotic times.

Is Kryon offering valuable information? A large volume of material is now available for listeners to judge for themselves. Over a dozen books are available compiling and analyzing the messages. Kryon/Carroll has thousands of admirers and friends. He’s spoken at the United Nations several times. Much of it is available at Kryon.com. Simply click into Free Audio or Free Video and experience Kryon for yourself.

Personally, the hours I’ve spent listening to Kryon this year while walking, puttering, or simply lying around have been enlightening, entertaining, and engaging. He offers a galactic view rather than simply a world view

Into Israel

The Kryon team has been visiting key spiritual sites across the  globe for several years. The channels from each region are rich with details pertaining to the specific places–Mt. Shasta, Peru, Maui, Patagonia, Sedona, the Australian Outback to name a few.

Destinations are chosen “intuitively.” It was no surprise to me that during a week buzzed to be loaded with high solar energy and a rare blood moon, that the Kryon team began a tour of Israel at the end of September 2015. From the Golan Heights to the Sea of Galilee, Kryon brought messages to his Jewish hosts. Many more messages than he usually offers on the tours. Beyond the messages, a higher energy radiated from the Kryon team into the heart of the Holy Land.

He offers his Kryon slant on what it means to be The Chosen and the destiny of Israel. These may be the most important and powerful Kryon messages of all. If Kryon is new to you, listening to the Israel Channelings might be a good place to start.

The theme of the messages makes sense when you recall that Hebrew is read from right to left. LEARSI NI ECAEP becomes PEACE IN ISRAEL.

Meditate Like a Lion

For the past few months, I’ve been writing creatively while in a meditative state. I’ve decided to begin sharing them here. I’m calling them Supernaltations. Enjoy!

Lion_Pictures-935802

Meditate like a lion, like a bird, like a dolphin. Animals spend hours simply being true to their nature. The lion lies in the grass, feeling the breeze, watching the horizon.

flying-bird-1328802494Px7  Birds fly or perch, creatures of the air. They sit and sing from great heights, never afraid of a fall. The air is their domain.

file000450127837  Dolphins swim in pods, separate beings but moving in complete unity. The water hugs them, supports them, feeds them. They fear not the currents nor the storms.

All creatures trust their instincts and their Creator. They have no doubt of their environment. When food is scarce, they just keep searching. It will appear.

They are in constant connection with Spirit. Quiet times are never boring, but peaceful, because they dwell in Spirit.

Land, air, or water, the creatures are content with their place in creation. They are attuned to the Creator.

Dear ones ~

Meditate like a lion.

Sing like a bird.

Float like a dolphin.

Love your Creator. Be the Creation.
