Dr. Emoto: He Showed Us the Power of Intention

Dr. EmotoDr. Masaru Emoto has passed away. Dr. Emoto gave us visual evidence of the power of our thoughts through his photography of water crystals published in the now classic Hidden Messages in Water.

According to OM Times, Dr. Emoto’s final word was “Arigato”–Japanese for “Thank you,” fitting for a man who promoted Gratitude as the best attitude for living life.

He used to say, “Life is LOVE which is a gift from God and parents, and DEATH is gratitude for going to a new dimension.” So now he is in another dimension and continues to look over us warmly with love and gratitude.

For me personally, Hidden Messages in Water was a life changing book. The photographs of water crystals transformed by pure thought and intention was a graphic demonstration of the healing work I do every day. The insights gave me courage to continue exploring the healing arts, despite the skepticism that surrounds energy healing. When you can see how water crystals are transformed by pure thought and knowing our bodies are mostly water, the power of healing intention becomes very real.

Thank you, Dr. Emoto for your gift to the world.

What Does “Mercury Retrograde” Mean and What Are the Effects?

Debbie Nuccio Durrough is one of my favorite teachers. Earlier in the year I took a class in spiritual painting. She passed out information on Mercury Retrograde, just as my house was going on the market. The first deal turned out to be a sham. We finally put a good deal together–after the Mercury Retrograde period had passed! Enjoy this article from Debbie. If you live in Southern California, I highly recommend her classes. ~ Dana Taylor

Post Mercury Retrograde Period: 10/25 – 11/10/14

Planet Mercury (rules communication and machinery)

Definition of “Retrograde” ~ to move or seem to move backwards

The planet Mercury is retrograde three to four times a year

In 2014, Mercury retrogrades three times, all beginning in water signs of Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio, and then back into air signs.

A Time, Season, and Reason…The energies during this Mercury Retrograde support balancing and healing your body, mind, and spirit. Take this time to R-E-L-A-X, RELEASE, and REPLENISH.  The energies support Tuning In To Your Inner Wisdom and reflecting on any repeating patterns in your life that are getting in the way of you expressing your true self. It is the season of Rest, Reflection, Review, Revision, Reconcile, Revision and all the other “Re” words except react!

For most people it is not the best time to start anything new, make new commitments or purchase new appliances, electronics, equipment, vehicles, etc. I say for most people because if you are NOT taking the time to rest, replenish, revisit, revise, reconcile, etc., you may feel like everything is out of sorts and/or out of control. Any area of your life that is out of balance can feel like you are experiencing what some refer to as Murphy’s Law. Think of this period as your introspection time.

With regards to Mercury Retrograde and all forms of communication and/or machinery (i.e. vehicles, appliances, computer, printer, cell phone, Facebook, twitter, etc.), don’t panic when “life happens.”  If you can’t wait to fix and/or purchase a new item, it’s OK to fix it and/or purchase a new item.  Just make sure you understand the return policy and all warranties.  Taking a little break from cell phone, texting, Facebook, twitter, etc. may prove to be beneficial because the energies support you in Resting, Replenishing, Reflecting, Revising, etc.

It may be helpful to know that for some, starting something “new” under a Mercury Retrograde typically fizzles out and/or at best can be frustrating due to the timing being off or the many changes and/or revisions that will come up.  However, do remember it is an excellent time to Revisit, Revise, and Re-invent yourself, your work, complete anything that was already started, clear out and let go of anything (person, place, or thing) that isn’t working in your life, and Revisit, Resolve, and Reconcile your past and past relationships.

Mercury Retrograde at times seems to bring challenges with all forms of communication: written, verbal, electronically, postal, legal, and it also can slow down how we process information, thoughts and mess with our short term memory (i.e. “What was I going to say/do, etc.”)

If any legal issues come up that can’t be delayed until after Mercury goes direct, make sure you read and re-read all contracts, legal documents, obtain legal assistance, and be flexible as moving forward it may need to be changed or revised.  Traveling during a Mercury Retrograde?  Allow enough time and have a backup plan as it is possible to experience delays and/or lost luggage.

REMEMBER…Mercury Retrograde is the perfect time to:

Tune Out and TUNE IN

R-E-S-T…RELAX…REPLENISH…

Balance Your Body, Mind,

Connect with old friends and/or people from your past

Finish anything you started

Clear out clutter and get organized

Pay old debts

Keep your promises

Keep your integrity in check

Seeking employment? Revise your Resume and Reapply and Resubmit job applications

Reflect on the repeating dysfunctional patterns in your life (i.e. same

problem different face, here I go again, or why is this happening again, etc.)

Meditate ~Tune Out and Tune In

Reflect, Relax, Review, Revisit, Re-vise, Re-do, Re-turn, Re-trace, Re-issue, Re-wind, Reapply, Replenish, Release, Reconcile, Rejuvenate, and all of the other words beginning with “Re” EXCEPT “React.” If you find yourself “reacting,” take a deep breath and remember that you and all concerned are at risk for being misunderstood (due to challenges with all forms of communication).

Near-Death Experience Changes Author’s Outlook

Picture

This article was recently featured at the Barb Silkstone’s Second Act Café. I think you’ll find it fascinating. Part One of Two:

Lisa Hinsley has cancer.

At the age of forty, with a loving husband and three children, she was diagnosed with advanced bowel cancer. Lisa is one of those beautiful people who touch many lives in the most gentle ways. For the past one and one-half years, Lisa has been fighting the beast called cancer like a tiger, and inspiring a large group with her courage and generosity.

Lisa on Lisa from her blog: Lisa Hinsley

Penny Sartori has been doing a series of articles for The Daily Mail about near death experiences or NDEs. The latest report had me thinking about my own experience. Here’s the link to Penny Sartori’s article: The Children Who have Near Death Experiences. And here is what I thought about NDEs–I was four years old when I had my near death experience. For weeks I had been suffering from a cough that became steadily worse until one day my parents lost me in the house. They found me hidden in a wardrobe rambling madly with a high fever. At that point I was rushed to the hospital.I don’t remember being delirious in the wardrobe, but I do remember being high in the sky watching my parent’s car pull into a car park. My emotions were detached, I felt nothing, no pain, no fear, no excitement, maybe a slight pull of curiosity as a man I recognized as my father jumped out of the driver’s side. He raced around to the other side of the car to take out a tiny limp body from the back seat. My mother was there too, and the two of them ran off. This is when the odd became most peculiar. I know now they were running to the hospital, but what I saw was far different. There was a crystal city. That is what I have always thought of it as: an enormous city of crystals taking up the entire horizon internally lit with this wonderful silvery-white light. There was no longer an absence of emotions in me, this vision was calm, welcoming, and so very beautiful.

PictureWay down below, my mother and father were running towards the crystal city with my father still holding that tiny limp body. For me there was no tunnel, no being asking me to return, no relatives to greet me, and no urgency to get back to a broken body. I simply came back to myself, all of a sudden. The vision of the crystal city was replaced with a cubicle in the hospital. I was on a bed. A blue curtain was pulled across for privacy. A nurse had a tube down my throat and I coughed my way back into life. This was no dream. They fade over time. This is a memory of a happening. Just as I vividly remember the house we lived in at the time, I remember floating above my body. Just as I remember the family holiday on the island of Sky nine months later, I remember the glowing crystal city and how it seemed to be an excellent idea to go there.

I can’t say that I don’t fear death less than anyone else, I’m not in their heads and can’t judge that. My guess is I fear death as much as the next person, and for me it’s more about the method of dying that frightens me rather than the actual event. I have a strong desire to live my life and do it well, to the limits of my ability. Maybe that comes from the NDE, maybe it’s just how I am. What I do know is that I am very spiritual and the idea of a higher being seems like a no brainer. I don’t attend church but I have a very strong sense of right and wrong, and have always tried to do the best for those around me.

The recent article in The Daily Mail suggests that children who have had NDEs go on to lead a charmed life. Perhaps I have a habit of making things complicated, but this certainly hasn’t happened for me. I had a very rough relationship in my early twenties, but escaped and have been in a rock solid marriage since. I’ve never had a problem with drink or drugs. Sometimes I think of myself as a cat with nine lives, and wonder when they will run out. At the age of 40 I was diagnosed with advanced bowel cancer.

A year and a half later and I am still here, fighting. I would say this, rather than my NDE has given me the incentive to live out my dreams. Fear of a short life eggs me on, makes me accomplish things I might otherwise not have. It makes me love my family more and try harder to be a better mum. Recently I ended up in hospital for a week after a reaction to my chemo. I was in the worst pain imaginable. These things that happen to me help my state of mind, I know now that I can handle and survive excruciating pain. This is no longer a fear. But I have the NDE in my back pocket letting me know that when the time eventually comes, there is a wonderful place to go for my next stage of existence.

That Elusive CureThat Elusive Cure

Lisa has created the most marvelous novel in her collection of both fiction and nonfiction books. This is a must-read book about a fictional character, Kathy Wyatt, who is very familiar to those who know and love Lisa.

Here’s the blurb from the book jacket:

Kathy is going to die. All that’s left to do is prepare for the end.

While waiting for her chemotherapy session, a woman called Janie approaches Kathy, offering a revolutionary treatment for cancer. Janie pitches the cure like an expert and what does Kathy have to lose? The doctors now measure her life in months, not years.

Kathy follows Janie to an abandoned church where a futuristic machine is hidden. Made of silvery metal, long, and with rounded edges, the pod is like nothing Kathy’s ever seen before. Janie encourages her to climb in telling her the process is painless and quick. A few sessions are all she’ll need to be cured. Despite serious reservations, what does she have to lose? She gets in. And the results are miraculous.

A few days later, when the wonderful sense of well-being she experienced begins to ebb, all she can think about is having another session. In spite of the apparent improvement, Kathy’s renewed energy is soured by doubt. What exactly is this machine? What if none of this is real and the next MRI shows all the tumors are still there? Time is so short…

THAT ELUSIVE CURE is about facing up to illness, both mental and physical, of family struggle and above all, the amazing power of hope.

PictureBorn in Portsmouth in 1971, Lisa Hinsley grew up in England, Scotland, and America. She now lives on the Wirral, in northwest England, with her husband, three children, and four cats.

Lisa’s novels Plague and The Ultimate Choice have featured regularly on the UK Amazon bestsellers charts and are now published in the USA by Simon & Schuster.

Lisa has been interviewed on the BBC regarding care for cancer patients. http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/health-22023820

Hawaiian Cemetery’s Unique Energy Vortex

ChineseHanging out in Hawaii has definite advantages – tropical breezes, fish tacos, beautiful birds, interesting hiking opportunities. Yesterday I set off to visit one of my favorite spots– the enchanting Monoa Chinese Cemetery.  As I trudged up the hillside surrounded by headstones etched in Chinese characters, weathered with age, the place seemed to be welcoming me back.

photo-11The history of the MCC fascinates me. A black marble tablet etched in gold letters tells the story of a Chinese worker named Lum Ching, a Feng Shui Master.  He used “magic” instruments to measure the magnetic energy of the earth. Around 1850 he discovered the “chi” of the Monoa Valley was captured and heightened in a certain area. He declared, “We are at an extraordinary spot. It is the pulse of the watchful dragon of the valley. People will come from across the seas and gather here to pay homage. Birds, too, will come to sing and roost. It is a haven suitable for the living as well as the dead. The Chinese people must buy this area and keep it as sacred ground.”

The Lin Yee Chung Association was formed to purchase land. By 1896, 27 acres had been acquired. A perpetual charter was granted by the Kingdom of Hawaii in 1889.

photo-10

Today the graves  are looked over by a massive banyan tree planted 100 years ago by a relative of Lum Ching to honor his final resting place at the top of the hill. While the cemetery is quiet during the day, it is often busy at night as tourists are led to the tree on a haunted tour of Honolulu. A few years ago my Supernal friend, Paula, took the tour and had an amazing experience inside the banyan tree. Patterns of lightning-like energy was picked up by several cameras. She heard voices in the tree that evening.

Here are a couple of the fascinating pictures caught of Paula as she prayed standing in the heart of the banyan tree.

Paula 2 Paula1

I didn’t hear anything but the singing of birds on my trip yesterday, but the feeling of peace and love was palpable. Beneath the canopy of the banyan tree, I gazed to the horizon, past the Honolulu skyline, clear to the aqua sea. Events of my life played in my mind; loved ones here and on the otherside painted through memory like a water-colored mural by Monet.

photo-12Using the Lord’s Prayer to open my chakras, I felt the expansion of my energy centers and allowed the special frequency of the MCC “chi” to swirl into my auric field. Cleansing, healing, empowering.

Though not as well known as Sedona and Stonehenge, the Monoa Chinese Cemetery is another unique energy vortex where earth opens a door to heaven.

My Goodbye Year

Dana  by Dana Taylor

I awakened to the quietest Christmas morning ever. My parents are long-gone. I’m no longer anyone’s darling daughter. My own daughters are young women now, nurturing their budding families. No husband greeted me on Christmas morning with fresh coffee and a new bottle of perfume. He suddenly departed in a car accident last February. My starring role as wife has played out. Even my identity as pet owner disappeared recently. My cat died at Thanksgiving. Enough already.

photo (3)I gazed out the bedroom window. A bright Southern California sun promised record-breaking high temperatures. Chirping birds appeared to be my most lively company. I threw off the covers, pulled on a Christmas sweatshirt and took myself off to duck pond park.

As I circled the water, I reflected on my year of goodbyes. Twelve months earlier, I’d anticipated 2013 with trepidation. The dreaded third year of the decade. All lives have patterns. To get the big picture, read Gregg Braden’s Fractal Time. It might change your life. If you live long enough and pay attention, you might figure out your key patterns. By 2003, I’d realized the third year of every decade brings illness, change, and often, death.

2003 was one of the most miserable years of my life. My Dad’s stroke irrevocably changed both our lives, forever. I hated leaving my family in Oklahoma and becoming his full time caregiver in California. On the outside, I appeared to be quite gracious about it, but inside I railed at losing my independence and the family life I had created. Of course, it was no picnic for Dad either. We struggled against the sudden restrictions and emerging new roles of disabled man and caretaker daughter. Yet, within the crucible of that difficult year, we both became better people. He revealed memories long buried. I was given the gift of really getting to know my father. My ego took a good bashing, which was a painful, but ultimately liberating experience. Once I surrendered to the changes of 2003, I found peace again.

Fast forward ten years. So much has happened in a decade. Between Reiki, prayer, meditation and numerous attunements, I perceive the world very differently. My intuition is much keener. I knew 2013 would be a year of departures and transitions. The first came on Christmas Day 2012 when my motherly mentor, Jeanie, went to be with Jesus on his birthday. Nobody loved Jesus like Jeanie. I’m sure He welcomed her with open arms.

I also sensed Christmas of 2012 would be my last holiday season with my husband. I didn’t let a moment go by unnoticed. I stored up the last conversations, the final smiles, the last date night in my mind to recall and relish. His final act of mailing a Valentine card to me before smashing his car in a construction zone, was heart-wrenching and wonderful at the same time.

The deaths kept coming– a childhood friend, close relatives of close friends. Last month, after great struggle, my dear mother-in-law finally passed over. Even my best feline pal, Buddy, had to leave me. I’d known his health was failing and his death could have been very depressing. Yet, his timing was perfect. He hung on until my family came into town for Thanksgiving. The morning when his breath grew short, I carried him out to his favorite chaise lounge in the backyard. I prayed over him and he simply let go. We buried him in his favorite garden spot.

The lessons of 2003 served me well for 2013.

  • Surrender–Don’t fight fate. Events are only bad if you perceive them that way. Instead of fighting the currents of change, survival may mean going with the flow. Surrender to sadness when it rises up. Let it flow and wash away.
  • Accept Grace–Spirit is always on hand to help through the hard times. The outpouring of emotional, financial, and practical support after my husband’s death came from many directions. My husband helped many people during his lifetime. They stepped forward to assist me for his sake and for mine.
  • Welcome Change–The seasons of life are ever-evolving. Remember the past fondly, but relish the adventures of the future. Keep growing, learning, and transforming.

2014 promises to be a time of new beginnings. New babies on the way! Our younger daughter, Cary, will give birth to her first baby almost a year to the day of her dad’s departure. New nieces and nephews are on the horizon.

Two new books are emerging from the depths of my creative subconscious. New clients and friends are finding their way to my doorstep.

Farewell to the Goodbye Year, ring in the Hello Year. The best is yet to come. (Maybe I’ll even get a new kitty.)

Happy New Year–

Dana Taylor

***************

chimesI am constantly amazed by the wonder of Reiki and the healing energies around us.  Frequency affects our physical and mental health. Reiki therapists work in the energetic fields of clients, infusing healing energy and removing blockages. So many influences are either positive or negative, energetically speaking. Begin thinking defensively as you make life choices. Fresh food, essential oils, purified water all lift our energetic frequency, whereas processed foods, toxic drugs, and many beverages drag people down.

Negative people and news sources are also to be avoided. You know who I mean–that constantly complaining “friend” who drains your energy. Those talking heads on FOX News. Turn the channel! Don’t take the call.

Even sound can be positive or negative. For Christmas, I bought myself (and my clients) this wonderful Chakra Chime from Soul Vibrations. The eight notes resonate at healing frequencies. You can literally feel them in your body. Spirituality has always been linked to uplifting music–chanting, hymns, mantras.  All pathways to higher consciousness.

During this holiday season, center yourself in higher energies–fresh food, laughter, beautiful music, and positive thinking.  Make 2014  a time of new, positive beginnings for your body, mind, and spirit.

Sending you Good Vibes–

Dana Taylor
