Reiki via Skype. Does it work?

th[8]Energy healing is an ongoing theme in my life. It’s part of what I do, who I am, but I have no professional aspirations in that regard. Yet, Spirit nudges me forward. Sometimes it shoves me. A couple of years ago I suddenly had strangers coming over to my house for Reiki treatments, all started by a casual conversation with a new friend.

I was reluctant to charge money for fear absolutely nothing would happen. Much to my amazement Healing Happened. Each session was different. Energy flowed for physical, emotional, and even past life healings. At the very least, my clients enjoyed a quiet, refreshing session to realign their energetic pathways. My confidence as an energy worker grew.  Now, I’ve moved to another state where I know practically no one. I still pray and send energy everyday, but at the moment, I have no local clients, which is fine.  Spirit has nudged again. This time into the realm of working “non-local.” In the last two weeks, I have had two sessions via Skype for Reiki I attunements. (See my post on Attunements for more information about them.) Reiki_SymbolOnce again, I had my doubts. It’s one thing to work on a client under my hands and feel their energy auric field. Could we do such a thing simply seeing each other on a computer screen. Could I pass on the Reiki frequencies? Seemed like a worthy Supernal Adventure, so we gave it a go. We started out the sessions with discussion and meditations. I felt myself head into the “zone” of flowing energy. Then I performed the attunements, visualizing the sacred symbols, and moving my hands as if the students were seated before me. Did it “work?” Attunements are difficult to gauge. I haven’t heard back from the first person, who is dealing with serious health issues. The second person is exploring her own healing capabilities. Here is what she reported the day after the attunement.

I did Reiki on my husband last night and felt much more energy in my hands. It was almost distracting! I had my hands over his eyes (not touching) and kept thinking I was bumping his nose, but when I looked down, my hands weren’t touching any part of his face, but the energy made me think I was. I didn’t get much feedback from him because he fell asleep, almost instantly. At one point, when I was over his heart chakra, he took a huge breath, after breathing steadily during the session.
 
I felt a lot of white light energy coming in to me to the point that, my crown started prickling and I had the urge to reach up and scratch it. Glad I didn’t because it then started spinning like a propeller! I’ve never experienced anything like that.
 
I did Reiki on my dog this morning and also felt much more vibration. I had my right hand on her leg where she has a fatty tumor, but my left hand was vibrating so much, I ended up putting that one on her neck.
 
So, I do believe the attunement was very successful! 
The traditional idea of praying has always tapped into “nonlocal,” but our knowledge of quantum realities is expanding. As people develop their abilities to tap into the higher frequencies, they will change the world. (Hopefully in a good way!)
This adventure of exploring multidimensional living goes on and on.

Energy Medicine From The Stars Revealed

My next posts will be “out of this world.” It’s tricky to share about subjects like channelling or ET encounters and maintain any kind of credibility. Yet, I’ve lately run into some information that touches those realms and I believe is worth sharing. I’m simply passing it along and you can decide whether it resonates as something of value for you.

I‘ve crossed cyber paths with Lois quite often in the past couple of years. I’ve reviewed her books on Akashic Records here (fascinating!). She is the founder of the TISBA Awards (The Indie Spiritual Book Awards). We’ve spoken on the phone. I am always impressed by her wisdom, humility, and courage to reveal her experiences to the world. She mentioned in passing that EDINA is her best seller and I finally had time to read it on a plane ride across the country.

In writing about EDINA and making it freely available to anyone in the world, Lois again displays an amazing generosity. We appear to be crossing into an age when communication between realms is becoming more common. Lois is an example of someone with beyond-the-usual abilities to communicate with other entities. In the case of her EDINA experience, in 1998 while working with Reiki energy, she realized other multidimensional Light Beings were present. They were tall and blue-grey. Over the course of time they would be identified as The Ankenash, who have their origins from the planet Sirius B. Working with Lois over the course of many years, they have established an energy healing system. Lois is the voice of The Ankenash in these incipient years of development.

EDINA: Energy Medicine from the Stars offers the background of Lois’ involvement and then the fundamentals of using the technique. While this probably sounds quite strange to many, as an energy healer and praying person like myself, the presence of multi-dimensional beings and working with them is a way of life. In Christian circles, we comfortably call upon Jesus, angels, and the Holy Spirit.

Thousands of Reiki practitioners are working across the globe, often in hospitals. And what is Reiki energy, but a transmission from another dimension? Usui Sensei received the Reiki energy and symbols while on a spiritual mountain retreat. They are passed on through a series of attunements and symbols.

EDINA is similar. Lois provides step by step instructions for accessing the EDINA energy and working with the Ankenash, provides links to the sacred geometric symbols, and has even recorded a meditation to center the student for the initiation process.

This resonated with me for a couple of reasons. First, the identification of the “tall blue-grey Light Beings.” For several years I have sensed the presence of a similar being during healing sessions. I just thought of it as my Blue Angel. But, it sure bears a striking resemblance to Lois’ descriptions of the Ankenash. Secondly, I’ve received impressions that I would be working with sacred geometry. When I downloaded the initiation  symbols, they intrigued me. Were these what I have been waiting for?

My Supernal Friend, Sue, joined me in this adventure. As “luck” would have it, I was staying at her house and we could initiate each other. We printed out the symbols and taped them up around the room. We followed the instructions, which were very similar to Reiki attunements. The symbols fascinate me. Though drawn on simple graph paper with pencil, they can appear to move and gain dimension when stared at for a few minutes. I’m sure an artist rendering could really make them striking.

What happened after the initiations? Any ET encounters? No. However, the common physical after effects of an attunement were definitely felt. Cleansing and fatigue for a couple of days as our bodies adjusted to the new vibrations. I haven’t been working with clients lately, since I just moved to a new state. Time will tell if there are enhanced effects in the healing sessions. My long distance healing sessions seem to be more focused, informative and powerful.

EDINA is in its early stages. The core group of healers are being developed. Lois is doing her best to impart information and develop a system that is viable for practitioners across the globe.

As the saying goes, when the student is ready, the teacher will appear. For some, it may start with purchasing a copy of E.D.I.N.A: Energy Healing from the Stars!

What are Attunements?

The first time I attended a Reiki class, the teacher announced we would all receive an “attunement,” which would permanently change our energy field. Because receiving Reiki treatments had been such a positive experience for me, I thought in for a penny, in for a pound, and willingly submitted to the attunement process without much understanding of what it really meant. Even a decade and many attunements later, I’m not sure I understand what happens in the attunement process, but I do feel I’m a happier, healthier person–not to mention a more effective energy healer.


chakras[1]What is an attunement? It is an infusion of a new energy frequency into a person’s subtle or energetic body. The term “attunement”is used in Reiki, and it reminds me of a piano being “tuned” to a new and better pitch. A Reiki master stands over the student and visualizes a Reiki symbol, which has a sacred meaning and energetic frequency and transmits it into the crown chakra and hands of the student.

Other energy healing modalities have various names for common processes–White Time Healing calls them “openings”; E.D.I.N.A refers to “initiations.” Even the Bible describes a similar event in the book of Acts when the Holy Spirit descends upon the followers of Jesus in the upper room. Evangelicals call the experience being “Baptized in the Holy Spirit.”

Whatever name you want to call it, the attunement process is ultimately a mystery. It is a meeting of Spirit and Human–and an entanglement. The human willingly submits to receiving an energy from an unseen force and at some level unites with it. It takes a bit of faith and courage to venture into the unknown and unseen world of energy healing.

My personal experience with these kinds of energetic, personal encounters began over 30 years in the privacy of my own bedroom when I was overcome with a supernatural blast of agape love and believed it was from the Christ Spirit. That began my journey into spiritual and natural healing.

Ten years ago I received my first level Reiki attunement. That quickened my ability to feel the variations of energy fields. Images of tissues and the inner workings of the human body grew clearer in my mind’s eye. The next significant jump occurred after attending a lecture by Dr. Eric Pearl on The Reconnection and receiving an attunement at that session. The Reconnection frequency made me very tired for a couple of days. Sometimes my body jolted like I had received small shocks. That still happens when I am in an intense healing session. Working on clients became more intuitive and effective.

I guess the word got out on the other side of the veil that I am open to the healing frequencies. I have been spontaneously attuned by healers many times in spiritual development circles. Occasionally in my personal meditation hours I’ve felt a new infusion of energy.

Most often an attunement will make me very fatigued for about twenty-four hours. Some times a cleansing process occurs. Each one is a change to my energetic body, which in turn adjusts my physical body.

Attunements not only increase healing capabilities for energy workers, they expand consciousness. You incrementally become more Aware of the world around you. Enlightened, as the Buddhists say. Peace replaces fear. Wellness overcomes illness. In my case, chronic insomnia disappeared. It’s as if my brainwaves have been realigned.

Reiki masters often recommend waiting six months between attunements. The body needs time to adjust and assimilate living with new frequencies in the auric field. It seems to me each attunement comes with its own frequency, color, sound, and sacred symbol. They become part the person and can be utilized for healing and co-creation with Spirit. They serve as a wireless connection, if you will, to multi-dimensional living. Often, a feeling of tangible love accompanies the experience.

As humans we live in a free will zone. We choose to engage with Spirit through attunements to work for the greater good. Attunements don’t happen without the permission of the receiver.

So, Spiritual Adventurer, if you are considering exploring the world of energy healing and have been wondering what the deal is with “attunements,” I hope this has been helpful. Attunements open the physical portal for spiritual communication. It is truly Supernal Living!

Dr. Emoto: He Showed Us the Power of Intention

Dr. EmotoDr. Masaru Emoto has passed away. Dr. Emoto gave us visual evidence of the power of our thoughts through his photography of water crystals published in the now classic Hidden Messages in Water.

According to OM Times, Dr. Emoto’s final word was “Arigato”–Japanese for “Thank you,” fitting for a man who promoted Gratitude as the best attitude for living life.

He used to say, “Life is LOVE which is a gift from God and parents, and DEATH is gratitude for going to a new dimension.” So now he is in another dimension and continues to look over us warmly with love and gratitude.

For me personally, Hidden Messages in Water was a life changing book. The photographs of water crystals transformed by pure thought and intention was a graphic demonstration of the healing work I do every day. The insights gave me courage to continue exploring the healing arts, despite the skepticism that surrounds energy healing. When you can see how water crystals are transformed by pure thought and knowing our bodies are mostly water, the power of healing intention becomes very real.

Power Up With Stones and Crystals

Energy workers love stones and crystals. Sure, they make beautiful jewelry, but the real attraction is…ENERGY!

Science is confirming what healers have long known—there is power in the minerals from the earth. Uranium yields atomic energy; magnets demonstrate positive and negative forces; strike two hunks of flint and start a forest fire.

I’ve always been attracted to rocks. As a child I loved visiting the home of my parents’ friends, Jon and Lois. They were “rock hounds,” climbing into the hills on expeditions searching for interesting stones. I have a memory of sitting in Jon’s garage surrounded by shiny stones he had tumbled in his homemade rock polisher.

As the years passed, the couple amazed me with their vitality. Christmas cards revealed Jon and Lois waving from exotic locations. Now  well into 80’s, they are still dancing on Friday nights at the local Elks Lodge. Where do they get their energy?

One secret is—their rocks! Their house is filled with sparkly geodes, bowls of tiger eye, selenite, agate, and amethyst. Every room is charged with quiet stone sentinels emitting earth energy. My elderly friends lead positive lives in many ways, but the energetic home they’ve created for the last fifty years surely plays a role in their secret to healthy longevity.

While I’m no rock expert, I am increasing incorporating stones into my daily life. Here are a few of my favorites:

thZW0L4OT5Amethyst—these lovely purple crystals are thought to help the mind and aid in overcoming addictions. Last Christmas I purchased a bag of rough chunks through an Amazon dealer. I got the notion to put a couple under my pillow for deeper sleep. It worked! Interestingly, I noticed in the dark that they emit a spark when bumped together, visible proof of their pulsing energy.

th0M8WM1J0Malachite—this is my “calming stone,” green, cool, and smooth. It is known as the “mirror of the soul.” If my mind is racing and I need to settle down for a power nap, I place it on my forehead. Its steady frequency slows down my frantic thoughts and refreshes my whole body.

th[3]Black tourmaline—an increasingly important stone in this age of EMF (electro-magnetic frequency) pollution. It counteracts the tiring bombardment of the EMF emissions from electronic devises. Place a good-sized chunk of black tourmaline in front of your computer for protection. You might be able to feel the difference. I can!

th[3] (2)Rose quartz—Known as the “love stone,” offers peace and joy. I have a favorite piece of rose quartz that I often use during healing sessions. It helps clear emotional turmoil and distress. Sometimes I circle it over a client’s heart chakra and imagine drawing out the pain. Clients report feeling much more at ease after a treatment. Of course, I always cleanse it after the sessions.

Mastering Self-Attunements by Ole Gabrielsen gives instructions on receiving a rose quartz “attunement.” In other words, the frequency of the rock is incorporated into the healer’s auric field. That sounds a bit weird, but, out of curiosity, I followed the instructions. Much to my surprise, the next client I had reported seeing a rose quartz in her mind’s eye during her healing session!

 There’s definitely power in the rocks. Next time you see stones for sale, take a few moments to hold them in your hand and feel the energy pulsing in your palm. If one “calls” to you—take it home. You may be adding a very positive force to your living environment—and a lovely decoration also.

Healer Reveals Soul Secrets

21 Layers of the Soul: Healing the Karmic Ties with Friends, Lovers, Family and Enemies by Annemiek Douw, MSc is one of the most fascinating metaphysical books I’ve read in quite a while. Douw is a Dutch healer with a busy European practice. As is often the case, her personal physical and emotional traumas led to unusual paths and extraordinary healing abilities.

Part One describes her personal journey. Part Two gets into the meat of the material—explaining the 21 Layers of the human auric field. Most of us who grasp the concept of auras have come to envision what she labels as layers 1-4: Physical, Emotional, Mental, and Astral. Beyond that, Douw defines various layers that reveal our complicated relationships through time and space. We are individuals, but we are also part of families, races, soul groups, humanity and many other categories. As the layers progress, they become less individual and more inter-related.

The author explains each layer and then illustrates with case studies of clients dealing with personal issues that brought them to her door. As someone who also works in energy healing, I was envious of her ability to read auric fields and pinpoint where a client needed help.

The material supposes a world view of past lives and karmic ties. Working with her spiritual guides, Douw hones in on specific past lives to explain current life situations. As I’ve seen in other books on similar subject matter, people often carry erroneous life lessons from one experience to another. For instance, in a very simplistic example, if someone dies by drowning, their last thoughts may be “never go swimming.” This leads to an “irrational” fear of swimming in the next life. As a healer, Douw goes in and works in the proper energy field to release that past life fear and rewrite their life script. The case histories reveal much more complicated issues. If there is truth to the concepts of this book, we all are influenced by thoughts and experiences far beyond our conscious awareness.

This book is an important addition to the lexicon of metaphysical books on spiritual healing. In this day of expanding consciousness, our understanding of the human experience continues to grow. If you’re ready to widen your world view, read Annemiek Douw’s 21 Layers of the Soul.
