Roadmap to the Great Awakening: Insights from Dr. Yvonne Kason

Since 2023 Spiritual Awakenings International has brought an array of fascinating people into my life, but Dr. Yvonne Kason definitely sits at the top of my personal Amazing Persons list. Fun facts about Yvonne:

  • She’s a retired medical doctor.
  • She coined the phrase Spiritually Transformative Experiences (STEs) in 1994 and was a pioneer health care professional recognizing STEs as actual life-changing events and not mental health delusions.
  • She’s a five-time Near-Death Experiencer, including a helicopter crash into a freezing lake (!) and years later, a fall on black ice which caused a disabling traumatic brain injury (TBI).
  • After twelve years of struggle from her TBI, her brain was miraculously healed at a meditation retreat.
  • She’s an author of seven books, and a founder and the current president of Spiritual Awakenings International (SAI).

It’s my honor and privilege to serve as Dr. Kason’s executive administrative assistant at SAI. She blends an astonishing level of visionary mysticism and organized professionalism. Her latest release is an exciting addition to her publications helping readers understand their spiritual development.

Roadmap to the Great Awakening: Purifying the Heart

Dr. Yvonne Kason shares a beautiful roadmap, “Purifying the Heart,” to guide us through the fascinating stages of our spiritual awakening journey: from a Spiritual Seeker to Spiritual Server, Spiritual Warrior, to Devotee, and then to an Adept. Using her own STEs as examples, she shares the key focuses and spiritual learning tasks at each stage, and how to speed up your progress. Based on her own awakening journey and 40 years of STE research, Dr. Kason concludes that the ultimate goal for us all is self-realization—God-Communion—with continuous expanded mystical consciousness.

Roadmap to the Great Awakening brought clarity to my personal spiritual journey. I mentally traced the milestones on the spirit “map” and saw how far I have come and a realization of how far there still is to go. Yvonne weaves her personal experiences into the spiritual levels of growth for a fascinating narrative blended with valuable information. This is a wonderful addition to the spiritually-minded reader’s library.

Mike Marable is a night traveler. While most us hope for a deep, restful trip to oblivion before the next day dawns, Mike is often off on an Out-of-Body adventure. His new release, How to Have a Good Life After You’re Dead: Explorations into the Afterlife; A Modern Book of the Dead, relates his experiences as a multidimensional traveler and offers keen insights on widening our paradigms about life and death.
As he points out, the pandemic brought the reality of death into heightened awareness for a society that had learned to take longevity for granted and consigned dying to hospitals and nursing homes, far away from daily life. Mike has been exploring Out-of-Body Experiences (OBE) since 1987. He’s come to understand that consciousness goes on beyond human body habitation. One of his life purposes is to be work with Retrievals, which helps souls lost or “stuck” in lower dimensions, aka the bardo in Buddhism, purgatory in Catholicism, or simply “limbo” in secular terms.
A large section of the book relates many of Mike’s Out-of-Body Experiences as he might have written them in a personal journey. They reveal a much more complex Afterlife than simply heaven or hell. Some spirits stay earth bound, while others reside for a while in other lower frequency dimensions, often in “Consensus Realities,” not so different from earthly societies. Mike’s astral body travels these lower realms as an explorer and also as a helper for the lost souls needing assistance going to the Light.
Other sections of the book offer insights into the value of having a “good death” for a soul to go directly to higher realms. He also declares reincarnation is as real as gravity on Planet Earth. It’s the way life works.
How to Have a Good Life After You’re Dead is a very interesting addition to the growing lexicon of books on other dimensions beyond the human 3-D reality. The phrase we are spirits having a human experience seems to be gaining more credibility all the time. Mike Marable shows us that death is merely a transition into another existence and that life goes on and on and on.
